On-going Society projects include:

• Extracting and preserving the records of our early ancestors by compiling the data from cemeteries, marriage records. 
• Presentation of timely special events such as the past Family History Expos and Cyndi Howells conference. 
• Genealogical instruction classes and "how-to" seminars throughout the year. 
• MCIGS has genealogical reference collections located in two of the county's libraries:
