MCIGS Society Book Collections at Local Libraries
The McHenry County Illinois Genealogical Society has an extensive collection of books pertaining to genealogy that are on the shelves at the Crystal Lake Public Library and the McHenry Public Library. The listings linked below represents only those books owned by MCIGS. The McHenry Public Library's Illinois collection is extensive and a great compliment to ours. The same may be said for the Crystal Lake Public Library with their New York collection. Plus, both libraries are actively acquiring new titles to add to the overall collections.

Financial contributions are used to purchase genealogy related microfilm/fiche, CD-ROMs, and publications. Donations can be earmarked for a specific purpose or as "general" to be used where most needed.
