Samuel Right/Wright BROWN Jr. and wife Sally Ann COSS came to Algonquin/Cary area aft 1855 from Steuben (Steuben) NY after spending several years near Kankakee IL where his brother, Erasmus Darwin BROWN and wife Letty LOGHRY r with 13 ch. Samuel and Sally Ann BROWN had 10 ch, several of them b McHenry Co. They followed his cousin, Benjamin BROWN and wife who settled in Algonquin /Cary area earlier, as did several brothers of Sally (COSS) BROWN. Benjamin BROWN’s wife's grave is one of the oldest in McHenry Co. I have the lineage of the BROWN fam back to 1630 when the first of the BROWN(E)s came over from Lavenham (Suffolk) ENG. The McHenry Co BROWNS were also connected to William and Susanna (FULLER) WHITE and Stephen HOPKINS who came over on the Mayflower; also Anthony ANNABLE who came over on the Anne in 1623 and r Plymouth Plantation for 11 years before moving on.
