Searching for my grandmother’s two bro who were Engineers on the railroad,
Charles MUDWAY imm from ENG 1871, records show that he worked as a Fireman,
Engineer and Loc. Engineer from 1879 to retirement after 1901. Died at age
94 in 1949. Francis/Frank MUDWAY/MEDWAY imm 1890, records show he worked as a
Fireman and Loc. Engineer from 1891 to retirement after 1902. Death date
unknown. Possibly worked on the C.M.St.P. & Pac. Would like any info on
these two men.

across the U.S. when Margaret was born. The best info we have is she was
born in IL - poss Marengo. The fam was Presbyterian; are there church or baptism
records available in that area?

My ggrandparents-Carl & Sophie Baumann farmed in McHenry County. They
immigrated in 1878, from Raddatz, Neustettin, Pommern (Germany) or Prussia.
My grandmother, Frieda Baumann, was 4 at the time and she had a brother,
John, born Nov,1876 , also in Pommern. Carl was also known as Charles, born May
1845, Sophie born June 1838. My grandmother had a daughter, also named Frieda,
born in Harvard on September 19, 1889. Any info on these people would be greatly
appreciated. (1900 census shows them living in Chicago)
